National Indigenous arts reference group
The National Indigenous arts reference group (NIARG) is comprised of artists and industry experts from around the country, who act as an information resource and advisory group to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts board.
The National Indigenous arts reference group is not a decision making body and has no authority to determine or decide on the implementation of strategies. Selection as a reference group member is at the sole discretion of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts board and does not guarantee participation at any meeting of the NIARG.
The following is a list of some reference group members. The list is fluid and subject to change without notice. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts board reserves all rights in relation to appointment and continuing membership of the NIARG.
Terms of reference
- Provide advice and make recommendations about the arts industry matters that will assist in the decision-making process of the board and division
- Act as in industry point of reference for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts board and division
- Advocate and promote the focal and industry development strategies throughout their respective networks
- Guide the implementation of the strategies in collaboration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts board and division.
