Trevor is employed as a protective officer with the Attorney General's Department of New South South Wales. He is the grandson and nephew of South Australian Aboriginal police trackers who were both named Jimmy James. Trevor has worked extensively throughout Australia and was employed as an Indigenous copyright education officer conducting workshops on copyright protection with Indigenous artists in all parts of the country. He has an extensive knowledge on Indigenous legal and social issues and has acquired his education on law and history; through the University of New South Wales and University of Adelaide.
