Tender - National Touring Framework project consultant
The Australia Council invites tenders for a consultant to develop a Touring Framework
The Australia Council’s Arts Development division aims to build the reach of arts to audiences. To assist this aim, we will develop a framework for national touring. The framework will identify opportunities, connect key players, and streamline the delivery to audiences around Australia.

Tenders must be lodged by 2.00pm local Sydney time on Thursday 15 September 2011. Per the procurement timeline, prospective tenderers will be notified of the outcome of the tender by 26 September 2011. We will strive to adhere to this timetable but reserve the right to vary dates whenever necessary.
The purpose of this consultancy is to deliver a report that outlines a framework for national touring:
- The framework must consider the connections, overlaps and gaps and opportunities in order to tour more artists and arts organisations;
- The framework must provide practical examples or models to assist artists and arts organisations in their decision making about touring; and
- The framework should reference the value of touring to the sector.
Services delivered as part of this review:
- Research; and
- Report writing.
