Tender: Project Director, IETM-Australia Council Collaboration Project 2011-13
The Australia Council invites tenders for the role of Project Director, IETM-Australia Council Collaboration Project for 2011-13.
Based in the IETM's office in Brussels, the successful tenderer will develop, deliver and evaluate innovative strategies to increase collaboration between Australian and European performing artists, companies and producers.
The Project Director role is a key element of the Australia Council's partnership with IETM (International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts). The partnership commenced in 2009 for a two-year period to support Australian performing artists, companies and producers to develop collaborative projects in Europe to build their artistic practice, skills and capacity to work internationally, and access new audiences and markets for their work. The Australia Council and IETM have recently agreed to extend the partnership for an additional two years (2011-13) to consolidate and build on this highly successful project.
The Project Director will support the Australian delegation attending the IETM's twice yearly plenary meetings and develop, manage, and assist in evaluating a program of activities under two key program strands - Artistic Collaborations and Producing Producers. The Director will curate presenter-led projects that connect Australian artists, companies and producers from the independent and small to medium sector to members of the IETM network.
