STRUT
STRUT dance is a choreographic development centre and the main support organisation for contemporary dance in Western Australia
STRUT has a professional development program for its members, which includes weekly technique classes, regular master classes, workshops and information sessions with visiting artists or artists from allied arts practices.

SEED Residencies
Through funding from WA Department of Culture and the Arts Future Moves initiative, STRUT is able to offer support to independent choreographers in WA through a series of SEED residencies.
These residencies provide specific support for choreographers in the initial 'seed' stage of their projects, allowing them to explore their ideas in the studio towards the creation of new work.
STRUT provides support to professional independent contemporary dance artists based in WA through specific programs and occasionally on an ad-hoc project basis. If you have any questions contact Producer, Jo Pickup.
PICA
Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts has a research and development fund available for Western Australian independent artists, artistic teams and small companies collaborating across disciplines, technologies and/or art forms towards the creation of new hybrid work. The research and development fund seeks to provide creative research and development opportunities and to invigorate and strengthen hybrid practice in Western Australia.

Ausdance WA
As well as ongoing projects such as Future Moves (professional contemparary dance) and Future Landings (community dance) Ausdance WA run annual events which include Dance Dialects (with Kulcha Multicultural Arts of WA), Country Week Dance (regional schools) and the West Australian Dance Awards (professional artists working in WA). They also have three beautifully appointed dance studios that are available for hire.

Propel Youth Arts WA
Young people 26 years and under can apply for a YCulture Metro grant of up to $3000 to pay for many things such as venue hire, professional fess, material costs, admin costs and much more. Your event could be one step away from becoming a reality! YCulture Metro funding is a great way to get you involved and productive in the arts scene, with your project adding cultural vibrancy to your area.
Previous YCulture Metro projects include a visual arts group exhibition of young artists aged 16 18 in metropolitan Perth, photography workshops for 16 25 year olds in Joondalup, an all-ages gig for young music lovers in Fremantle and much more!
