The Marketing Summit 2010 brought together Australia's innovative marketers for three days of creative exchange, challenging ideas and international insights on contemporary arts marketing.
As requested by you, the Marketing Summit 2010 focused on issues around digital and youth marketing, branding and culturally diverse audiences.  
Representatives from across all artforms, festivals, State and Territory funding bodies attended the Summit. 
Opening address

Kathy Keele - Chief Executive Officer, Australia Council
Mark Scott - Managing Director, ABC on retaining relevance in the digital era.

International keynote speakers included
  • Russ Meyer - Chief Strategy Officer, Landor Associates, San Francisco, USA on how to maintain and develop brand value in the digital world of the double click
  • Claire Eva - Head of Marketing and Audiences, Tate, UK on how digital marketing provides new opportunities to build bridges between artists and the public, reach wider and more diverse audiences, and experiment with creative content and marketing techniques
  • Denise Montgomery - Communications Consultant, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and La Jolla, USA on how to engage culturally diverse audiences and implement effective audience development strategies.

The Marketing Summit is an Australia Council initiative, managed by the Market Development Division in partnership with the Major Performing Arts Board.

 

The Australia Council acknowledges the support of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

Marketing Summit 2010 – towards sustainability
The Australia Council is used this year’s Marketing Summit to test concepts and practice around sustainable events. The speaker information and Summit program will be available for download shortly.
