Sarah is an independent artist, producer and curator with a particular interest in interdisciplinary and live-art practice.

Sarah Rowbottam was granted $40,000 through Theatre’s Artform and Sector Development, as well as $25,790 through Emerging and Experimental Arts: Experimental Arts Grants. 

This activity could fit in the 2015 grant program: Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups for Individuals and Groups ($10,000 - $50,000) 

With support from the Australia Council, Sarah Rowbottam, will produce and present Proximity Festival 2014; which includes a mentored development LAB for 12 artists / groups, a two-week curated season of intimate one-on-one performances, a Symposium of national speakers, a paid masterclass and an opening event of performances by local artists, all at Fremantle Arts Centre (FAC).  

Proximity Festival is an annual festival incubating the creation and presentation of one-on-one performance work. The festival provides critical peer support, encouraging artists from all disciplines to experiment with new modes of practice in the creation of participatory theatre experiences.
