About the grant
As the result of research undertaken into the sector, the Major Performing Arts Board has established a fund of $120,000 for 2012/13 to support a program of co-commissions and innovative collaborations between Major Performing Arts organisations and Key Organisations, or Major Performing Arts organisations and small to medium arts organisations.
Priorities of the grant program (applications up to $30,000)
There are no specific category requirements for this activity, beyond the need for you to demonstrate an innovative artistic partnership in co-commissioning and/or collaboration. You need to demonstrate creative equality between the collaborating parties.
The intent of the program is to forge new relationships. We encourage an ongoing role or association between the participating organisations. The proposal may also be for research and development. The intended collaboration must not be publicly advertised nor programmed in future seasons at the time of the application.
You must demonstrate in your application a significant financial or in-kind contribution from the Major Performing Arts organisation or that of an organisation’s supporter (sponsor or donor).
