Building pathways

Arts SA

The program assists South Australian artists to enhance their national and international profile and presentation opportunities, by developing connections with influential interstate and international galleries, agents, publishers, producers and presenters. It also helps non-subsidised organisations and enterprises (e.g. private galleries, agents, publishers, producers and presenters) to represent and create opportunities for artists, expanding their markets and generating new sources of income in a national or international context.

Business owners coaching program

Department of Trade and Economic Development

The Department offers a Business owners coaching program to help South Australian business owners develop their management and business skills. Participants meet regularly to discuss issues, develop solutions and hear first-hand from experienced, successful business owners.

Young Indigenous entrepreneur program

The Young Indigenous entrepreneur program gives you practical help, coaching and advice, and puts you in touch with other Indigenous people who are running successful businesses so they can help you along the way.

Business Enterprise Centre

City of Tea Tree Gully

The Business Enterprise Centre provides:

  • information and assistance on business planning, marketing and local economic issues
  • networking functions (often featuring keynote speakers) that provide opportunities for businesspeople to meet and exchange information
  • access to government grants, assistance schemes and information
  • referral to local specialists in the areas of accounting, legal services, leasing, insurances and other business-related matters
  • workshops and seminars on matters of interest or concern to small businesses

Exporters' club

City of Charles Sturt, City of Onkaparinga, City of Port Adelaide Enfield

The Exporters' club seeks to make the process of exporting for Small to Medium Enterprises (SME's) easier by using its expertise and international contacts. The club provides:

  • advice to and facilitates a network of export interested firms
  • comprehensive export assistance
  • help for firms to access existing government programs and agencies, relevant Local, State and Federal government personnel  and useful overseas contacts

Inner Southern Business Enterprise Centre

City of Holdfast Bay, City of Marion, City of Mitcham

The new Inner Southern Business Enterprise Centre is all about assisting small business in the region to be successful. The ISBEC:

  • provides low-cost, confidential, practical business information and support to existing and prospective small businesses
  • assists clients with the preparation of business plans, including marketing and budgeting
  • provides licensing information to new business starters and businesses that are considering changes to their current operations
  • provides referrals to Federal, State and Local Government programs and services for business
  • facilitates networking opportunities, featuring keynote speakers, that link small businesses to local services and organisations involved in business and economic development
  • hosts and refers small business to relevant workshops and seminars

Inner West Business Enterprise Centre

The Inner West Business Enterprise Centre was established to assist and develop successful businesses in the Inner west region. Assistance provided is at no or low cost, is independent and confidential.

North West Business Development Centre

The North West Business Development Centre aims to:

  • provide a positive business environment to ensure business start ups are supported and grow
  • work with a diverse range of businesses to increase their productivity
  • stimulate job creation through business growth
  • conduct coaching, training and networking events in response to the identified needs of the business community
  • gain local business and community support for the work that we do
  • develop and maintain appropriate alliances with government, investors and corporate sponsors to benefit the business community

Salisbury Business and Export Centre

SBEC provides a range of services to business, with an emphasis on small business:

  • advice and support on starting a business
  • business development advice and information including business planning, cluster development, marketing and strategic planning
  • export guidance, information and planning
  • information on assistance programs and funding available through the Commonwealth, State and Local Governments
  • mentoring support and advice
  • referrals to specialist advisers, eg solicitors, accountants and business consultants
  • networking opportunities that link small business to local services and organisations involved in business, economic development and job creation
  • small business workshops, seminars and networking functions
  • host training and development workshops and programs
  • regular newsletters, brochures and promotion of small business initiatives to media
  • promotion of business and investment in the City of Salisbury

Southern Success Business Enterprise Centre

City of Onkaparinga

The SSBEC's main purpose is to provide free or low cost practical business advice/support and referrals to both new and existing local businesses. Their advisors are all experienced business managers and the counselling they give is both confidential and independent. Supported in partnership by the State Government and the City of Onkaparinga, the SSBEC works closely with Council's Economic Development Unit and provides mentoring and administration services for a number of government business programs and grants.

Todd Street Business Chambers is a 'business incubator' created to provide an environment that will help new and establishing businesses to grow and prosper. The Business Chambers can provide you with professional support and an environment where you can share your business challenges and successes with others.
