Small Business Development Corporation

The business migrant incentive program is a Western Australian Government program designed to assist qualifying business migrants intending to operate a business activity in a regional (based at least 50km from the Perth CBD) area of Western Australia to apply for State Sponsorship.

The program is designed to allow successful applicants to take up opportunities for which funding cannot be accessed through normal funding rounds and where the timeframe is out of the control of the applicant. This could include activities such as a last-minute festival slot, a record label showcase or working with an international producer who is in Australia for a short time.

The City of Swan has a range of industrial and office spaces available in both Midland and Ellenbrook designed to accommodate the needs of start-up businesses. These incubators are designed to help minimise some of the risks associated with new business start-ups and/or expansion into commercial property and include incentives such as month-by-month lease arrangements and access to shared administrative resources.

The Coastal Business Centre provides a range of services from free one to one business assistance, office space, business training, mentoring, assistance to people on a benefit from Centrelink to start a business and business development services.
