The JUMP National Mentoring Program for Young and Emerging Artists supports the career development of artists aged 18-30, and in the first five years of their professional practice, by providing mentoring opportunities with established professionals in their artform. Managed by Youth Arts Queensland

The category will provide funding for either the employment of an Indigenous arts worker and a program of activity or an Indigenous arts worker only.

A two- or three-month residency at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation residence studios in Connecticut, USA for an Indigenous artist

Presentation and promotion grants support projects that promote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and their work regionally, nationally and internationally through publications, recordings, performances, exhibitions and international export.

Skills and Arts Development grants assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts organisations to develop ideas and skills, not necessarily with a public outcome.

The Aboriginal and the Torres Strait Islander arts board established the Red Ochre Award in 1993 to pay tribute to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander artist who, throughout their lifetime, has made outstanding contributions to the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts, at both national and international levels.

The ArtStart program provides financial assistance to artists who have recently graduated in creative arts to help them establish a professional arts practice or gain employment as an artist.

The Qantas Indigenous Young and Emerging Visual Arts Award acknowledges a young and emerging Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander visual artist who is making an outstanding contribution to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander visual arts.
