Program - artform development grants provide organisations with funding for programs of activity that develop the artform.

About this category

Program - artform development grants provide organisations with funding for programs of activity that develop Australian dance. They are for programs that benefit a range of artists, such as national and international reciprocal partnerships and professional development programs such as mentor programs, masterclasses, workshops, international exchanges, management support and peer evaluation. Infrastructure costs will not be supported.

Assessment criteria

Applications will be assessed according to the following selection criteria:

  • Artistic innovation with a creative rationale 
  • Artistic or professional skills appropriate to the activity
  • The benefit of the activity
  • Audience development potential
  • Good planning and effective use of resources
  • Contribution to the cultural diversity of Australian dance (elective criterion).

Eligibility

  • Organisations only
  • Has a minimum of 30 per cent of income per year from sources other than the Australia Council
  • Recipients of a dance board key organisations grant (triennial or emerging) are not eligible to apply for this category.
