Submitting moving images
It is compulsory to provide moving image support material for applications with a creative development/performance outcome. Without this, your application is ineligible. In response to feedback from applicants and to streamline internal processes, from 2012 the Dance Board will now only accept support material via link to vimeo. DVDs or material on alternate sites will not be accepted.
vimeo submissions must comply with the following:
- Material must not exceed 15 minutes
- Material must be downloadable from the Vimeo site
- You may password protect your material for confidentiality
- Work should be recent and relevant and should demonstrate the breadth of the applicants work. It is recommended to include an unedited section from rehearsal or performance
- A media form must be including detailing the relevance of the support material to the current application. The media form must include the Vimeo link and (where relevant) password must be pasted on to the media form
- If moving image file is less than 15 mins you may also add media from other sources, including audio, text or multimedia material
For information on how to use vimeo please access this how to document.
Submitting budgets
Some applications will be for a project involving a number of stages. You are encouraged to present separate budgets for each stage in addition to the overall budget for the project. This will help the Dance Board understand the resources involved in the development of the work. The Board will assess the whole proposal, but in the end may only support specific stages of the project. Any additional budget materials must be uploaded with your application as a .pdf document.
