About the grant
Please note this is the only closing date for this grant round from 2012 onwards
Presentation and Promotion grants assist arts organisations to present and promote contemporary Australian craft, design, media and visual arts to audiences in Australia and overseas.
Projects supported by this category must have a public outcome and can include exhibitions, publications and conferences, and support for significant international visitors. Projects should have a rigorous curatorial framework aligned with suitable audience development strategies.
The Visual Arts Board may support only a part of the proposed program.
Organisations receiving Australia Council funding are required to pay artists' fees. It is recommended that the National Association for Visual Arts (NAVA) fee schedule is used as a guide (www.visualarts.net.au).
This grant only supports the Australian content in international activities or projects. It does not fund international artist or speakers' fees.
This grant category does not fund ongoing operational expenses or infrastructure. It generally supports the presentation of work rather than the creation of new work.
Out-of-time applications area not accepted to this category.
Applications are not accepted for participation in art fairs.
Support for exhibition touring is also available through the Australian Government's Visions of Australia program.
