Dance - Western Australia Contemporary Dance Initiative – Projects FAQs

Can I apply to this Initiative and to the standard Dance Board Projects category with a closing date of 10 February, for the same project?
Yes you can. However, you can not receive funding in both categories for an identical project (same project and stage of development.) We would encourage you to apply for different projects in each category as the purpose of this initiative is to give WA artists additional funding opportunities throughout the year.

If I apply to the Dance Board Projects categories (closing date 10 February 2012) and this category for different projects can I be successful in both?
Yes, it is possible to be successful in both as your applications will be assessed against the published selection criteria for the relevant category. Indeed WA based dance artists and companies are encouraged to submit applications to this Initiative and the Dance Board’s open grant categories.

Does this application count towards the two applications a calendar year that I can submit to the Dance Board?
No it does not as it is considered to be a short term initiative.
