About the opportunity

Expressions of Interest are now open for support to attend a variety of key performing arts events in New York in January 2019. These include: the International Society for Performing Arts (ISPA) Congress, APAP Conference, Wavelengths: APAP World Music Preconference, globalFEST, Global First Nations Performance Network, American Realness, the Public Theater’s Under the Radar Festival (UTR), Chamber Music America Conference, PROTOTYPE, NYC Winter Jazzfest and the Jazz Connect Conference, and the Joyce Theater’s American Dance Platform. You may apply for support to attend any one of these events or a combination of events.

The Australia Council’s International Development Manager - North America, will work with the delegation in New York.

Australia Council support will provide eight delegates with $3,000 each towards the cost of travel. These delegates will be responsible for all costs associated with attending the meeting including flights, visas, insurance, accommodation and registration.

Selection Criteria

Applicants are required to respond to the following selection criteria:

  1. The impact of this project in developing future opportunities in North America and enhancing your reputation in North America
  2. Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the region and market.
  3. The timeliness of this opportunity and a demonstrated ability to plan and deliver on any international outcomes that may arise.

No supporting material or submitted budget is required. Please note that applicants will be unable to attach supporting material to your online application.

Selection process

Australia Council staff will consider expressions of interest according to the selection criteria above and will include recommendations by industry advisors as needed.

You will be informed of the outcome of your Expression of Interest by early September 2018.

Click on the ‘Submit an EOI’ button at the bottom of this page. Expressions of Interest must be submitted via the Australia Council’s online system. To apply in the online system, please click on ‘Grants & Grant Reporting’ and choose ‘Expressions of Interest (EOI)’.

Note, this is an Expression of Interest and not a grant application. It does not count as an application to the Australia Council Grants Program.
