New Research into Community Cultural Development Workers

Much has been written about the lack of a formal career structure in the arts and what can be done to support the work of CCD practitioners. The recipient of a Community Cultural Development Board Fellowship is now researching ways to support the artist within the framework of CCD practice.
Throughout 2005, Carey Lai will gather data on Australian CCD artists through individual interviews and through an online survey. It is hoped Ms Lai's research will suggest ways of supporting the health, wellbeing and professional development of CCD workers.
