The Lost Echo wins Best New Australian Work at the 2007 Helpmann Awards

The Australia Council for the Arts congratulates the Sydney Theatre Company on the success of its 2006 production The Lost Echo.
To win the Australia Council-sponsored award for Best New Australian Work, The Lost Echo's creators Barrie Kosky and Tom Wright beat an expanded field of six nominees, including The Adventures of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie and Little Ragged Blossom, Lucy Guerin Company's Structure and Sadness, Honour Bound, The WA Opera's The Love of the Nightingale and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
The Australia Council-funded Lucy Guerin Company also collected the Best Dance Helpmann for its production Structure and Sadness.
