The employees of the Australian Government’s Department of Health and Ageing's workplace giving program supports the Song Room’s music programs for disadvantaged schools.

The Song Room is a Melbourne-based, national organisation that provides school performances, music teacher residencies and musical instrument donations to schools with a high proportion of children that are disadvantaged through isolation, disability, recent immigrant status or financial circumstances. Their highly successful programs stimulate creativity, enhance learning and self-esteem, and encourages greater participation in the school and community.
