Gadigal Information Service is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned and operated organisation that provides a one-stop-shop for those who want to pursue a career in the media and the arts.
More than that, Gadigal also provides quality professional services that support and promote the aspirations, initiatives and talents of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Gadigal's range of programs for young people include the 'Young Black & Deadly' talent performance workshops and a radio training project. Graduates from the Radio Training Project are exposed to a professional studio environment and radio station, inhouse and are guaranteed a placement as a broadcaster on the radio airwaves of Gadigal's own Koori Radio 93.7fm.
Once they turn 18 young people have the opportunity to take part in Gadigal's ‘Klub Koori’ showcased events in mainstream venues. Artists can also have their works produced and recorded by an Indigenous producer in the Gadigal Recording Studios and released on the Gadigal Music Label- and then receive instant airplay on Koori Radio 93.7fm.
Artists also have the opportunity to perform at the Yabun Festival, one of the year's largest Indigenous calendar events.
Philanthropic support to Gadigal Information Service would help continue this diverse range of community services to generations of Indigenous young people to come.
