Welcome to the Asia-Pacific Centre for Philanthropy and Social Investment at Swinburne University of Technology. Established in 2001, the Centre has been a leader in providing postgraduate education for potential and current venture philanthropists. It offers graduate programs at Master (no intake for 2008) and PhD levels, as well as conducting workshops and seminars. It also undertakes research and provides specialised consultancy services in all aspects of philanthropy and social investment - whether by private or family donors or by companies. Masters in Philanthropy and Social Investment to be offered in 2009
We are delighted to announce that our pioneering graduate program in Philanthropy and Social Investment has been re-Accredited, and will be offered in 2009 as a Master of Business (Philanthropy and Social Investment). As before it will be a three year, part-time course of study, with students progressing through Certificate and Diploma stages. >More information

New Centre for Social Impact
The Centre has joined the University of New South Wales and the University of Melbourne in setting up a new Centre for Social Impact (CSI) which will be headed by Dr Peter Shergold AC. For the past five years, Dr Shergold has been Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Commencing operations in February 2008, the CSI will build the capacity of Australia 's non-for-profit sector, philanthropic endeavour and the development of social responsibility in the corporate sector. >> Read more
