Arts education research in Australia: bibliography, 1980-2001

Lists arts education research completed between 1980 and 2001 and is intended for use by researchers in arts education, students, academics and other interested parties.

With more than 500 references, the bibliography is a valuable resource for anyone interested in accessing a body of knowledge about arts education in Australia.

The bibliography contains mostly theses references as well as some reports, books and conference presentations. It includes education research in dance, drama, music, visual arts and literary arts. It addresses media studies and film in only a limited way. The bibliography is an outcome of the Australia Council for the Arts' Promoting the Value of the Arts (PVA) strategy, in particular, its Education and the Arts program.
