Education and the arts strategy

The Australia Council for the Arts' three year Education and the arts strategy is the first step in achieving its long-term goal of an environment where the arts are an integral part of the lifelong learning of every Australian.

The strategy is the result of careful consideration of community feedback--in response to the draft strategy--and also detailed discussion with the members of the National Education and the Arts Network (NEAN) throughout 2004.

With this strategy the Australia Council for the Arts has chosen to first focus on enhancing the arts experiences of school aged children and young people.
