Guidelines on how to make a career out of being a visual artist.

These suggestions are written by Brenda L Croft, senior curator, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art, National Gallery of Australia. Brenda has been a practising artist and writer since the mid 1980s, and has worked with a number of Indigenous community arts and cultural organisations. 

While there is some great advice here to get you well on your way to being a successful artist, it is important to note that these suggestions are meant purely as a guide.
