Education and the arts strategy

The Australia Council's three-year Education and the Arts Strategy (2004 -2007) is the result of careful consideration of community feedback received in early 2004.

The Australia Council's Education and the Arts Strategy has two key priorities:

• Articulate the role of the arts in enabling young people to thrive in a rapidly changing world, and
• Facilitate collaborative effort between the arts and education sectors

With this strategy the Council has chosen to first focus on enhancing the arts experiences of school-aged children and young people.
