Government funding of performing arts

In 2006-07, the Australian Government and state and territory governments provided about $256.4 million in funding to organisations for performing arts, according to the Cultural Ministers Council Statistics Working Group.

This includes $116.3 million from the Australia Council.

An additional $132 million was provided to performing arts venues by state and territory governments.
