Arts Executive Leadership Program

Building leadership and management capability of executives from the Australia Council's regularly funded arts organisations.
Several years ago a gap was identified in specialised leadership training for Australian arts managers and leaders working in the sector. Through extensive research in Australia and overseas and consultation with the sector the Arts Executive Leadership Program (AELP) was developed.
The program consists of a series of 2 day modules spread over a year and you are welcome to register for one or more of them. The program is available for leaders from arts organisations that get multi-year funding through the Australia Council's Major Performing Arts Board or Key Organisations funding.
In 2012-13, the program will also be delivered in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. See below for more detail on the Strategic Leadership module.
The Arts Executive Leadership Program is supported by the Australia Council’s Major Performing Arts Board.
Who is the program for?
The program is available to executives from Australia Council's multi-year funded arts organisations. This includes Chief Executive Officers, General Managers, Artistic Directors and their direct reports such as managers of finance, marketing, fundraising and development, production and operations.
