Art Basel Hong Kong provides an overview of the region's diversity through historical material and cutting edge works by established and emerging artists. Art Basel Hong Kong has an extended program of talks, artist films, and exhibitions across the fair featuring internationally renowned curators, artists, collectors and cultural theorists.

The Australia Council will lead an Australian delegation at Art Basel Hong Kong 2017. The Council’s International Development Manager – North Asia will work with the delegation in Hong Kong to build connections with international visual arts professionals, institutions and artists, and their capacity to develop partnerships across Asia.

The Australia Council will provide five delegates with $3,000 each towards the cost of attending Art Basel Hong Kong. The Council supported delegates will be responsible for all costs associated with attending the fair including flights, insurance, accommodation and registration.
