Accessible Arts is the peak arts and disability advocacy body in New South Wales. It provides support and opportunities for people with disabilities to experience and participate in the arts.

As part of this mission, Accessible Arts also acts as a consultant to arts and cultural organisations to assist them to make their events more accessible and enjoyable for people with disabilities.

Accessible Arts also provides training courses and professional assistance to organisations and individuals in the arts and disability sectors who are looking to take part in creative activities.

This includes coordinating arts events such as the International Day of People with a Disability and AART.BOXX – an arts competition and exhibition for people with disabilities.

More recently, Accessible Arts has provided support for people living in the Western Sydney region. The aim is to engage communities within this area in innovative and creative arts opportunities through outreach programs, training opportunities and apprenticeship programs.

As part of their ongoing role in the arts, Accessible Arts also provide information exchange to individuals and organisations in the disability and arts sectors through an inquiry service, free monthly bulletin, website and library.
