ACCESSIBLE ARTS NEWS
Accessible Arts Small Grants in partnership with the Department of Ageing, Disability & Homecare were recently made available to organisations and arts workers, to assist with the Don't DIS my ABILITY campaign arts events, for International Day of People with a Disability.
Now in its third year, AART.BOXX is extending its public programs to link audiences, access and professional development to the AART.BOXX experience. This will include artist talks and accessible exhibition tours.
Accessible Arts is proud to announce AART.BOXX 08 will be launched by Professor Colin Rhodes, Dean of Sydney College of the Arts, University of Sydney. Opening night is Friday 17 October from 6 to 8 pm and opening speeches will be Auslan interpreted.
Accessible Arts presents an arts & disability forum in Western Sydney. Come
hear a morning of dynamic presentations and engage in a lively panel
discussion with key members from the Western Sydney arts, disability
& local council sectors.
Accessible Arts in partnership with Bundanon Trust have awarded a month long residency to Alstonvale based master printmaker and art facilitator Scott Trevelyan. Applications from artists with a disability for the residency included visual artists, performance artists, film and theatre scriptwriters and a poet.
