Alice Pung

Alice Pung’s first novel, Unpolished Gem, has received much critical acclaim in Australia and was the winner of the Australian Newcomer of the Year prize in the 2007 Australian Book Industry Awards.

She was shortlisted for theAustralian Biography of the Year and Australian Book of the Year in the 2007 at the Australian Book Industry Awards and the 2007, as well as the NSW and Victorian Premiers’ Award and the 2007 Age Book of the Year Award. Some international rights have been sold to her work.
