Australian Dance Theatre Presents G.

Garry Stewart's new work, G, dislocates and transcends the romantic narrative of the ballet Giselle to create a richly textual critique on a venerated classic.

Stewart has converted the dancers from characters into visceral explorations of hysteria, sex, death, loss and metamorphosis with his trademark full tilt choreography and visionary design.

G has been co-produced by Théâtre de la Ville (Paris) and co-commissioned by The Joyce Theater's Stephen and Cathy Weinroth Fund for New Work (New York), Southbank Centre (London) and Merrigong Theatre Co. at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (Wollongong).
