Black Swan Theatre Company is one of Australia's foremost not-for-profit theatre companies with a reputation for distinctive interpretations of international classics and world-premiere productions infused with the culture of Western Australia.
Black Swan's contribution to the Western Australian performing arts sector is such that in 2004 Black Swan became West Australia's flagship theatre company.
The company has undertaken co-productions with all of Australia's leading theatre companies including Company B, Playbox, State Theatre Company of South Australia, Sydney Theatre Company, Queensland Theatre Company and Melbourne Theatre Company, and also with local companies including Deckchair Theatre and Steamworks Arts Productions.
Black Swan Theatre Company is continuing its tradition of producing first class theatre for the people of Western Australia.
Black Swan Theatre Company is a client of the Australia Council for the Arts' major performing arts board.
