Community Arts Network of South Australia Inc (CAN SA) is South Australia’s peak community arts body.
Since its inception in the late 1970s, it has played a leading role in the development of community arts and cultural practices through advocacy, collaboration, research and evaluation in partnership with a range of sectors such as health, youth, Indigenous and local government.
As a registered training organisation, CAN SA delivers both accredited and non-accredited arts sector specific training, including the nationally accredited Graduate Diploma in Community Cultural Development course, which is currently delivered online.
CAN SA is also one of the AusCAN national members. AusCAN is a coalition of peak bodies for community arts and cultural development around Australia. The purpose of this coalition is to ensure access to, and participation in, arts and cultural activities by all Australians.
