Company Clare Dyson
Choreographer Clare Dyson created Company Clare Dyson with brother and lighting designer Mark Dyson in 1998.
Since then, they have been developing innovative performance work that crosses artform boundaries, theories and audiences. They work independently, together and collaboratively with other artists. Their work spans commissions for government, universities, festivals and independently-produced.
At the 2006 Australian Dance Award 'Churchill's Black Dog' was nominated for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography and won Outstanding Achievement in Independent Dance. Their most recent work Medeleven (originally commissioned by WAAPA) has just received an NDP Grant to develop and tour this work to the US in 2009/10.
Clare has been Artist-In-Residence at both the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts in Brisbane and at Tanzfabrik Berlin where she created her latest work Being There that was premiered in December 2007.
Company Clare Dyson is a featured company at 2008's Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference (APAP) and she is current in Paris in the Australia Council Studio at Cité Internationale des Arts.
