Disability in the Arts, Disadvantage in the Arts, Australia (DADAA) offers a state-wide program of arts services for Western Australians facing disability and disadvantage.
Based in Fremantle, WA, for more than 10 years DADAA have been a catalyst for an inclusive approach to the arts and culture in Western Australia.
Their focus is on creating opportunities and significant social change for people who have a disability and/or a mental illness living in 46 communities across WA.
DADAA offers targeted cultural development programs that cater to the artistic, social and cultural needs of more than 2 000 people each year.
For DADAA, community cultural development is about putting cultural development into community hands.
DADAA have a demonstrated track record as a key force in the development of sustainable cross government / cross community partnerships and bridging the gap between disparate communities, NGO’s, the corporate sector and government.
