Based in Townsville, Dancenorth uses collaboration to produce cutting edge works that tour regionally, nationally and internationally.

Under the dynamic leadership of artistic director, Gavin Webber Dancenorth combines a young and dynamic core group of dancers with experienced artists to inspire diversity and freshness whilst maintaining its distinctive style.

Dancenorth's style has a distinctive and dynamic technical vocabulary. Their style challenges and surprises audiences, taking them in unexpected directions.  It is theatre told through movement.

Dancenorth are a key organisation of the Australia Council's dance board.
