Institute of Modern Art

Founded in 1975, the Institute of Modern Art is one of Australia’s first contemporary art spaces.

The institute runs a programme of exhibitions and events featuring local, national and international artists; emerging and established artists. Its programme takes in aspects of the moving image, sound art and new music.

The Institute of Modern Art is a key organisation of Australia Council's visual arts board.
