Lenine Bourke is an arts practitioner who has worked extensively with socially, culturally and economically diverse communities. She has facilitated numerous community-based arts projects focusing primarily on youth, health and wellbeing and arts and education in urban, rural and remote locations.

Lenine’s professional experience in the creative industries has taken her throughout Australia and abroad. She has worked for community organisations, local and state government, statutory authorities, peak bodies, educational institutions, enterprise, arts and community organisations.

Lenine's innovative work builds on her artistic integrity and continually utilises socially just and culturally appropriate processes. As a leader in her field of community-based arts practice, she enjoys working with people to invigorate and activate change.

In 2006 Lenine was the recipient of the inaugural Kirk Robson award from the Australia Council for her commitment to working with Indigenous, regional and youth communities.

Lenine is currently working in Brisbane in a programming position with the Ideas Festival.
