Tim Flannery

Tim Flannery was named Australian of the Year in 2007 and has published widely in scientific and cultural fields.

His books include The Future Eaters: An Ecological History of the Australasian Lands and People (1994) - one of the best-selling non-fiction books in Australian bookselling history - Country (2004).

The Future Eaters won the Age Book of the Year Award, Non-Fiction Prize, in 1995.

In 2006 Flannery won the Book of the Year in the NSW Premier's Literary Awards for The Weather Makers: The History and Future Impact of Climate Change (2005). The Weather Makers also won the Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIA) Australian General Non-Fiction Book of the Year in 2006.
