Wendy Morrow is a recognised senior dance artist both nationally and internationally in the area of new dance. With a career spanning over 27 years Wendy is currently exploring frameworks to develop mid-career dancers and establish creative laboratories for performance research and media work.
Wendy’s performance career includes the Monte Carlo Ballet, The Scottish Ballet, The Sydney Dance Company and Danceworks.
Wendy has worked as a dance artist, choreographer and teacher in professional companies and tertiary arts institutions throughout Australia. She has trained in visual arts and has broad experience in inter-disciplinary and multi-media arts projects. Wendy has studied dance and improvisation in New York, Europe and London.
Wendy was awarded two-year Australia Council fellowship in 2004 to continue her research, development and presentation of dance and interdisciplinary performance. She investigated and developed a framework to offer professional development to mid-career artists. Wendy also engaged in ongoing professional exchange with peers and other artists. Part of this process involved establishing creative laboratories for research into performance and media work.
