Dear Australia Council I fully support this code of conduct. Centred Art only sources artwork from community based art centres and has always been doing so. I would at the same time like to apply to be a signatory to this code. In playing the devil's advocate I would like to ask the Council to be proactive and take further measures as soon as possible, if necessary, after the two year self-regulatory period. The fact alone that a code like this is needed, and the kind of practices that occur this very moment, could point at involvement of people in the industry for whom a voluntary code has no value.
