Indigenous dancers directory launched
An online reference where the breadth of Indigenous dance can be found in one place, with the click of a mouse is now available.
Supported by 'Treading the pathways', the Australia Council's initiative to develop Indigenous dance the Indigenous dancers directory was launched on Friday 9 May at the Sydney Opera House.
The directory can be found as part of the Black Book Online Directory, which includes more than 2 700 listings of Indigenous organisations and individuals working in the media, arts and culture.
The directory includes information about Indigenous dancers and choreographers; their work, how to contact them and information about Indigenous dance companies. Anyone who works in the field and is not included is invited to submit a listing to the Black Book Online.
