New Victoria Manager for Artsupport Australia

The Australia Council for the Arts announced the appointment of Anna Draffin as Victoria Manager for Artsupport Australia, its initiative to grow cultural philanthropy.

Ms Draffin will mentor artists and arts organisations in Victoria, helping them grow income streams through donor programs and philanthropic grants. She will also help Victorian philanthropists and donors by researching and brokering relationships with the Victorian arts community.

Anna will commence on 3 May 2010 and be based at Arts Victoria. Until then Artsupport Australia’s Director, Louise Walsh will continue to support arts organisations and philanthropists in Victoria.

Anna will bring to Artsupport Australia her extensive experience in communication and fundraising, having most recently been Deputy Director of Heide Museum of Modern Art leading the Communication and Development team.

Since it commenced in 2003, Artsupport Australia has helped facilitate more than $35 million in donations and philanthropic grants to the arts in Australia. 

The Victoria Manager is the fourth state manager for Artsupport Australia, joining James Boyd in Western Australia, Kathy Davis in Queensland and Gillian Harrison in the Northern Territory.

The Victoria Manager position is jointly funded with Arts Victoria.
