Team lead - Raphael Sammut
After completing a BA in multimedia at Victoria University, Raphael Sammut realised his real passion for writing and directing screen drama. He continued his training by completing a certificate IV in digital video and then moved up north to study film and television production at the Queensland College of Art. From there he started working in varying degrees on television commercials, finding himself freelancing mostly as a 1st AD. While working in production, Raphael’s passion for storytelling has enabled him to write, direct and produce various short films with his most recent film being accepted into the Queensland Short Film Festival, Brno 16 International Short Film Festival in Czech republic and the International Festival of Cinema and Technology in 2007. With the support of a writing grant from the Australian Council for the Arts and the Laboratory of Advance Media Production (LAMP) organised by AFTRS, Raphael was able to rediscover the big kid within and devote his time to writing and producing an interactive screen story experience for kids inspired by his own exciting childhood adventures.
