Go see fund for presenters

Market development aims to create more demand for Australian performing arts through supporting the promotion of Australian performing arts and the development of new markets and audiences, in Australia and internationally.

The go see fund initiative provides travel assistance for professional Australian presenters to attend performances by Australian artists.  Through a quick-response program, presenters will be able to preview work for the purpose of considering future presentation of these works to their local audiences.

The objective of this program is to support greater access for Australian presenters to more works, develop knowledge, awareness and relationship to Australian performance works, and increase national touring of Australian performance works and support greater audience and market potential for the work.

At this stage go see fund travel assistance is only available to APACA members and state tour coordinators/Blue Heelers to attend works by Australian performing artists (e.g. theatre, dance, music).

The eligibility criteria may be widened in the future, according to demand and availability of funds.
This initiative will complement other existing programs within the Australia Council, such as the theatre board’s program – presenter grant and initiatives to provide ongoing support to program more adventurous theatre and dance work.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include Australian presenters and programmers.

Important information for applicants

How is the fund managed?
