Western Edge collaborates with young people under the age of 26 to create contemporary theatre that is complex and transformative. They present high-quality work with an authentic youth voice that reflects the diverse cultures and backgrounds of young artists.  

Western Edge Youth Arts was granted $150,000 over three years as part of Theatre’s: Program Youth Arts

In 2015, this activity could fit in the 2015 grant program: Arts Projects Organisations ($10,000-$150,000) 

Support from the Australia Council had given sustenance to Western Edge Youth Arts 2012–2014 artistic programs and activities for young people in Melbourne. Including the production and presentation of ‘Fate’ a community theatre/ music collaboration between Western Edge Youth Arts, Flemington Theatre Group, Barkly Arts, Massive Hip Hop Choir and young people from Melbourne’s inner west and Ballarat.
