About the opportunity

Applications are now open for support to attend the Asia Discovers Asia Meeting for Contemporary Performance (ADAM) in Taipei, 15 -18 August 2019.

Founded in 2017 by the Taipei Performing Arts Center, ADAM takes place in the context of the Taipei Arts Festival and is an initiative dedicated to fostering cross-cultural and trans-disciplinary exchanges between artists from across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Australian artists, curators, producers, presenters and critics working in contemporary performance are eligible to apply for support to attend the ADAM Annual Meeting. The four-day program includes artists presentations and talks bringing together residents of ADAM’s Artist Lab program and development program (The Kitchen) as well as curators and artists from around Asia. This meeting is suitable for artists and curators seeking to develop interdisciplinary performance exchanges with Asia.

Australia Council support will provide delegates with $2,500 each towards the cost of travel. These delegates will be responsible for all costs associated with attending the meeting including flights, visas, insurance, accommodation and registration.

How to submit an application

Click on the ‘Apply' button at the bottom of this page. Applications must be submitted via the Australia Council’s online system.

Note, applications to International Development funding opportunities do not count as an application to the Australia Council Grants Program.

Changes to grants payments

The way Australia Council grants payments are made has changed. Effective immediately, grant recipients will no longer send an invoice for payment of a grant. Instead, after you accept our offer of funding, we will pay your grant into your nominated bank account and send you a Recipient Created Tax Invoice (RCTI).

Important information for administered grants

If you plan to have your grant administered by a third party, applicants will now need to ensure that the administrator is registered on the Australia Council online system before you begin your application. This means you cannot complete or submit an application if your administrator is not registered.
