The Australian Performing Arts Market (APAM) is calling for applications from Australian and New Zealand performing artists and organisations to be part of APAM 2018, held 19 – 23 February 2018 in Brisbane, Queensland.

Established in 1994 by the Australia Council for the Arts, APAM is Australia’s leading internationally focused industry event for contemporary performing arts – with a key focus on increasing international and national touring outcomes and business development opportunities for the sector.

Australia Council for the Arts CEO Tony Grybowski said: APAM is integral in developing the international profile and reputation of Australian artists as creators of outstanding work. In 2016 the program showcased 28 artists and companies from Australia and New Zealand and hosted 655 delegates from 30 countries.”

“The Australia Council is proud to support APAM, as it supports a significant networking and showcase platform to international and national presenters of diverse Australian work including b representation from contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island performing arts,” Mr Grybowski said.

The event brings together more than 1,200 participants from the Australian and international performing arts industry, including influential Artists, Artistic Directors, Creative and Associate Producers, Companies, Festival Directors, Executives, CEO’s, and Program Managers.

Artists and companies can participate in the event in a number of ways – including applying to the Showcase and Pitch Program or to exhibit as part of the On Display Booth Program, as well as attending networking events.
